Job summary

TT Freight Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a professional driver to operate heavy-duty trucks, delivering loaded or empty containers across designated locations in Port Klang and surrounding areas.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, secure containers, plan routes, and ensure deliveries meet strict timelines while adhering to safety policies and road regulations. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and medically healthy
• Familiar with port/terminal operations and container handling procedures
• Good driving record with no major traffic offences
• Able to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays when required

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport containers to designated locations
• Ensure timely and safe deliveries according to schedules
• Navigate traffic while complying with road regulations
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report mechanical issues immediately
• Secure containers to chassis using twist locks
• Check container and seal numbers before movement
• Assist in container stuffing/unstuffing when required
• Manage Delivery Orders (DOs) and related documents
• Liaise with port operators for collection and return
• Plan efficient routes to meet delivery timelines
• Adhere to safety policies and mandated rest periods

Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport loaded or empty containers to designated locations.

Ensure timely and safe delivery according to assigned schedules.

Navigate traffic conditions while complying with road regulations.

2. Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (lights, brakes, tires, oil, etc.).

Report any mechanical issues or defects immediately.

Maintain truck cleanliness and ensure roadworthiness at all times.

3. Loading & Securing

Ensure containers are properly secured to chassis using twist locks.

Check container number and seal number before movement.

Assist in container stuffing/unstuffing when required.

Manage Delivery Orders (DO), container gate passes, and related documents.

Update driver work tickets or electronic systems accurately.

Ensure all documents are properly signed and returned after delivery.

5. Terminal & Depot Operations

Liaise with port/terminal operators for container collection and return.

Follow terminal SOP and safety guidelines.

Perform safe maneuvering within busy port/container depot areas.

6. Route Planning

Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery timelines.

Comply with truck size, weight regulations, and road restrictions.

7. Safety & Compliance

Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies.

Observe mandated rest periods.

Maintain a professional and responsible driving attitude at all times.

Job Requirements

Physically fit and medically healthy

Minimum 2 years experience in haulage industry

Familiar with port/terminal operations and container handling procedures

Good driving record with no major traffic offences

Responsible, punctual, and disciplined

Able to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays when required
