Job summary

Cochlear Malaysia is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations at our Malaysia facility. Reporting to the VP Manufacturing Malaysia, you will drive production, quality, safety and delivery targets while developing a high-performing team on the production floor.

You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Calibration and Quality to ensure operational excellence and sustainable performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or related discipline.
• 10+ years in manufacturing operations with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in high-volume electronics or consumer devices preferred.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet targets for production, quality, safety and delivery.
• Escalate and resolve production and repair issues with minimal disruption.
• Drive productivity via flow management, line balancing and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Calibration and Quality teams.
• Promote Lean, 5S and visual management to improve safety and efficiency.
• Coach Team Leaders and frontline staff, manage performance and training.
• Support workforce planning, attendance and overtime, recruitment input.
• Uphold health, safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
