Job summary

Symphony Confection Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Production Technician to support our SME food manufacturing facility. You will maintain, troubleshoot and service machinery, equipment and facility systems while occasionally assisting Production and Packing operations when no maintenance tasks are required.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, prompt breakdown response, and keeping maintenance records.

Qualifications

Certificate or diploma in a relevant technical field is preferred.
Experience in machinery maintenance is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspection, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Carry out preventive maintenance according to schedule.
Monitor machinery condition and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur.
Assist with machine setup, adjustment, installation and testing as required.
Keep records of maintenance, repairs, servicing and machine condition.
Monitor spare parts and maintenance supplies and notify when replenishment is needed.
Coordinate with external technicians or suppliers for specialised repairs.
Suggest practical improvements to machinery and production processes.
Support basic facility maintenance within the factory when required.
