JOB DESCRIPTION

Halal Certificate Management

• Prepare and submit documents for Halal certification, renewal, and new product registration.
• Act as the liaison with Halal authorities (e.g., JAKIM / JAIN).
• Ensure that product formulations, raw materials, and labels comply with Halal requirements.
• Coordinate and respond to Halal audit findings or queries from authorities.

QA / QC Support

• Develop, execute, and maintain Quality Management Systems (e.g., GMP and HACCP) and establish continuous improvement programs.
• Perform process inspections to ensure all incoming raw materials to finished goods comply with established food safety and quality standards before release.
• Review and update quality system policies, manuals, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Prepare and collate finished product specifications, COAs, MSDS, and all related technical documents as per legislative requirements.
• Conduct internal quality audits periodically and liaise with external quality auditors, certification bodies, and government regulators.
• Manage customer complaints and NCRs, find root causes, identify rejects, and recommend corrective and preventive actions within set time frames.
• Monitor staff hygiene practices.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Halal / Food Science or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in food manufacturing; knowledge of GMP and HACCP certifications is advantageous.
• Flexible, positive attitude, and adaptable to changes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and responsible.
