A private equity-backed energy infrastructure group operating across Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific, focused on delivering clean energy and EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and annual financial closings across multiple regional entities, including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, China, and Bangladesh.
- Manage inter company transactions and ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), while preparing reports for the board and coordinating external audits.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning
- Spearhead the annual budget, strategic planning, and quarterly rolling forecasts.
- Develop financial scenarios and variance analyses to support investor and executive decision-making.
Project Finance (EPCC)
- Manage the financial control of large-scale energy projects by monitoring budgets, project costing, revenue milestones, and capital expenditures.
- Ensure standardized financial reporting for projects using ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Consolidate and monitor cash flow across all subsidiaries.
- Oversee banking operations, inter company loans, and ensure adherence to regional debt facility requirements.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Manage tax compliance (CIT, GST, VAT) across key jurisdictions, and support regional audit and transfer pricing processes.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with business leaders to guide investment and operational decisions.
- Present financial insights to investors, auditors, and strategic partners.
Finance Systems & Digital Transformation
- Drive digital finance initiatives including ERP implementations and dashboard reporting (e.g., Power BI).
- Standardize financial processes and controls across regional offices.
Requirement
- Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting/Finance with professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ACA).
- Experience : 8–15 years in finance with at least 5 years in group consolidation or project finance, preferably in energy, infrastructure, or EPCC industries across Southeast Asia.
- Technical Proficiency : Strong in IFRS, project costing, financial modeling, ERP systems, and inter company accounting.
- Leadership : Proven track record in leading multi-country finance teams and process improvement initiatives.
- Commercial Acumen : Familiar with the energy value chain (power, renewable, gas), with the ability to challenge financial assumptions and enhance profitability.
- Mobility : Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia.
