Job description

Ambu A/S is currently looking for a Group Financial Controller to be based in Penang, Malaysia.

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Group Financial Controller to develop, improve, and maintain consolidation and reporting processes while ensuring alignment with global strategies and compliance standards.

As a Group Financial Controller, you will join the Group Controlling & Reporting team, which handles all aspects of financial controlling and reporting, group consolidation, and related compliance in terms of technical accounting, internal financial controls, and controlling visits.

You will report to the Head of Financial Controlling & Reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the focal point for master data structure in our consolidation tool.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain documents and systems for consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Perform financial controlling and group financial analysis monthly for group reporting purposes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Group's quarterly and annual external reports and presentations to Management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Optimize existing processes to enhance automation and reduce non-value-adding activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and cross-functional colleagues to oversee the financial controlling of Ambu Group's monthly figures.
  • Provide reliable support and guidance for the global organization, offering proactive assistance in reporting and consolidation-related matters.
Candidate Profile
Skills
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience or similar roles.
  • Degree in accounting or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or CA).
  • Experience with ERP systems, IT tools, and consolidation systems, including financial reporting and consolidation processes.
  • Analytical, structured, and pragmatic approach to work.
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
