Job description

Group Accountant

  • Prepare monthly consolidated group accounts, financial and management reports, quarterly reports, and yearly audited accounts, including analyzing trends and variances.
  • Handle corporate tax matters, including reviewing tax computations and corresponding processes.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
  • Maintain proper financial and management accounting records.
  • Establish effective internal control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, company policies, and related regulatory/statutory requirements.
  • Supervise, guide, and coach junior finance and accounts personnel in their respective job functions.
  • Handle special/ad hoc projects assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, MICPA, CPA).
  • A minimum of 7–10 years of working experience at the managerial level.
  • Prior involvement with LSE-listed compliance work and experience in multinational corporations (MNCs) are preferable.
  • Audit experience in a Big 4 or medium-sized audit firm is preferred.
  • Experience in project management and managing complex stakeholders is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards is required.
  • Demonstrates good supervisory, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical skills in managing financial data.
