A leading company in Malaysia is looking for a detail-oriented junior Group Finance Analyst to join their finance team. The successful candidate will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities, ensuring financial accuracy and data integrity. Job Title: Group Finance Analyst
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated junior Group Finance Analyst to join the Acclime Group Finance team. Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role reports to the FP&A Consolidation Senior Manager and plays a critical part in supporting financial planning, analysis and reporting activities. You will work closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision making and ensure financial accuracy for business operations.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
-Manage the full set of accounts in compliance with IFRS and internal policies
-Perform monthly bank reconciliations & prepare cash forecasts
-Prepare Account Receivables (AR) & Account Payables (AP) aging report
-Monitor fixed assets and calculate monthly depreciation
-Assist with month-end reporting and analysis, including reconciling intercompany from group perspective
-Liaise with key stakeholders to resolve intercompany balance mismatches
-Support the budgeting and forecasting process
-Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budget/forecast
-Perform detailed analysis to support payment forecasting and working capital optimization
-Prepare management recharges and issue quarterly invoices to Business Units
-Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial systems
Candidate Profile
-Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
-2 – 5 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently to tight deadlines
-Understanding of consolidation concepts
-Ability to effectively interact with overseas colleagues
The following attributes will be highly valued (but not essential):
-Experience in accounting and reporting for multinational / multicurrency operations and complex intercompany reconciliations
-Experience in an FP&A environment
-Experience using PowerBI
-Experience with consolidation/accounting systems
