We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management of our Group.
Job Responsibilities
- 1. Strategic Financial Leadership & Governance – Group Financial Strategy: Develop and execute long-term financial strategies that drive profitable growth, capital efficiency, and shareholder value across all business segments and markets. Lead strategic planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal, and multi-year planning to align with enterprise objectives. Financial Governance & Compliance: Oversee group-wide financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance (including Bursa Malaysia), and adherence to international accounting standards. Lead the implementation of robust financial risk management frameworks including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
- 2. Capital, Treasury & Value Creation – Optimize the Group’s capital structure and liquidity profile through disciplined capital allocation, treasury optimization, and access to diversified funding sources. Lead financing activities including capital raising, debt restructuring, and funding for M&A, expansion, and innovation initiatives. Investor & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the principal financial spokesperson to investors, analysts, financial institutions, and regulators. Develop and implement investor relations strategies to communicate the Group’s value proposition, financial performance, and strategic direction.
- 3. Enterprise Performance Management – Performance Analytics & Business Intelligence: Institutionalize a performance-driven culture by implementing group-wide KPIs, dashboards, and performance review frameworks. Use financial analytics to evaluate business health, identify value leakage, and enable timely and informed decisions. Integrated Business Planning (IBP): Actively engage in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to ensure alignment across demand, supply, finance, and operations, driving profitability, agility, and enterprise-wide responsiveness.
- 4. Strategic Projects & Business Expansion – M&A, Investment and New Market Entry: Lead financial due diligence, structuring, and integration of M&A deals aligned to the Group’s growth and diversification strategy. Evaluate investment cases and commercial ventures across Southeast Asia with a disciplined approach to risk-return optimization. Business Partnering: Serve as strategic advisor to BU Heads, providing financial insights to influence decisions on pricing, productivity, procurement, and business model innovations.
- 5. Digital Finance & Shared Services Enablement – Finance Digitalization & ERP Strategy: Drive finance transformation through digitization, automation, and deployment of modern ERP platforms to enable real-time insights and cost efficiency. Lead the modernization of the MIS function and integration of financial systems across the Group. Shared Services Optimization: Establish and scale a centralized Shared Services model for finance, standardizing processes, improving cycle times, and reducing overheads.
- 6. Tax, Treasury & Regulatory Strategy – Tax Planning & Incentives: Oversee the Group’s tax strategy, planning, and compliance including cross-border operations, transfer pricing, and incentive optimization (e.g., LITC in Labuan). Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and ensure timely adaptation to regulatory changes across jurisdictions. Treasury & Credit Management: Manage the Group’s cash flow, hedging strategy, and credit risk policies to support operational stability and growth.
- 7. Leadership & Capability Building – Finance Talent Development: Build a high-performing finance organization by mentoring next-generation finance leaders and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Define capability frameworks, succession plans, and continuous learning programs to future-proof the finance function. Executive Engagement & Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with the Executive Chairman and leadership team to translate strategic vision into financial action. Actively contribute to Group-level steering committees, business transformation, and ESG finance initiatives.
Experience Requirements
- At least 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong track record in enterprise finance, capital management, and digital transformation
- Deep experience in manufacturing, agribusiness, or regional multinational operations
- Proven ability to partner with Boards and C-suite executives on high-impact decisions
- Experience managing finance in complex, matrixed, and regulated environments
