Job description

KOP Mantap Berhad (KMB), a wholly owned subsidiary of KPDRM, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) to lead the organization into its next phase of strategic growth and transformation.

KOP Mantap Berhad operates as the investment arm of KPDRM, actively in 7 core sectors: Security, Logistics & Distribution, Technology, Services, Property & Constructions, Travel & Tours, and Aviation through its subsidiaries.

As part of our mission to drive sustainable revenue for KPDRM and elevate corporate and human capital excellence, we are looking for a dynamic leader to spearhead innovative strategies and oversee the performance and governance of our diverse portfolio.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement the group's long-term strategy, including setting goals, identifying opportunities, and resource allocation.
  • Provide inspired leadership company-wide by developing the overall vision and future master plan.
  • Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy, including the execution and timeline of business plans.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership across all subsidiaries and sectors.
  • Drive operational excellence, financial performance, and risk management.
  • Forge strong partnerships with stakeholders, including KPDRM, government agencies, and the private sector.
  • Manage the group's portfolio of businesses, overseeing the performance of each subsidiary.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as shareholders, customers, suppliers, government officials, and the media.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence through networking with potential and existing customers or key accounts.
  • Develop and sustain a strong corporate culture fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure operational consistency, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop organizational structures supporting the Group’s strategic vision.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company-specific regulations.

Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or Master in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience, with at least 10 years in senior management or relevant roles.
  • At least 10 years of process improvement experience, including planning, project management, business analysis, and leadership roles; experience in investment/trading is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Advantageous

  • Experience or strong exposure in dealing with enforcement or uniformed agencies such as the Royal Malaysia Police.
  • Familiarity with government/public sector tendering and EP processes.
  • Well-established business network with proven ability to generate partnerships and secure new ventures/business.
