Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate with auditors, valuers, and tax agents during annual audits.
  2. Review reports related to audit, tax, and valuation purposes.
  3. Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory standards, maintaining system integrity.
  4. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
  5. Prepare quarterly reports and analyses, including slide presentations and related information for quarterly announcements.
  6. Review monthly management accounts to ensure closing by the 12th of the following month.
  7. Ensure timely submission of monthly reports for management review and group consolidation.
  8. Monitor financial performance by comparing actual results against budgets.
  9. Estimate tax computations and assess the need for tax installment revisions.
  10. Compile group cash flow projections.
  11. Handle ad-hoc reporting and assignments as necessary.
  12. Review and update Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent business correspondence skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred for serving Mandarin-speaking customers.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • Strong supervision and communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in audit firms and the commercial industry, preferably in F&B.
  • Familiar with Accounting Principles, MFRS, and IPO listing processes.
  • Team player capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible, committed, and able to meet deadlines.
