Overview
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for the group in accordance with IFRS/MFRS.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making for HQ (Malaysia), and branches in Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India and etc.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee group cash flow planning, ensuring optimal liquidity management.
- Develop strategies for effective working capital management.
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement strong internal controls and financial policies.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive financial performance.
- Provide financial insights and reports to senior management and the board.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in group finance, accounting, or auditing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Auto Count or similar systems).
- Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a manufacturing or listed company environment is an added advantage. Prior involvement in IPO preparation or corporate finance initiatives is beneficial.
