Job summary

Qualifications

• Candidate should have 1–3 years as a buyer/merchandiser in retail supermarkets or hypermarkets.
• Fresh graduates can apply for Trainee Category Executive with training provided.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing category sales, profit, margin and inventory.
• Assist to review existing merchandise to stay competitive.
• Assist in product selections and category management.
• Make purchase decisions based on customer demand and market trends.
• Negotiate with suppliers on promotions, pricing and trading terms.
• Handle outlets’ needs and supplier queries.
• Assist in developing house brand products.
• Undertake other job functions as required.
