Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail buying, procurement or supply chain.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source high-quality products meeting company standards and customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to negotiate prices, terms and conditions.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, competitors, and consumer preferences.
• Place orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and manage inventory levels.
• Negotiate prices, discounts and payment terms with suppliers; minimize stockouts and overstocking.
• Monitor and analyze sales data to optimize inventory and reduce waste.
• Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
• Prepare regular reports on sales, inventory and purchasing activities.
