Join Intel’s CTO AI NEX team as a Student/Intern to support platform software integration, continuous integration, and automated build processes in a hybrid work model based in Penang, Malaysia.
Your role
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare base project recipe files and provide initial build and incremental updates for platform feature completion.
- Maintain a healthy integration branch during platform feature enablement.
- Collaborate with teams to set up continuous integration processes and automated builds for Linux/Windows BSP.
- Coordinate integration hardware setup to execute integration test suites after each automated build.
- Monitor automated builds and test suites, taking corrective actions on failures.
- Use software and hardware debugging tools to analyze, root cause, and troubleshoot issues.
- Follow software quality release guidelines to meet platform Yocto BSP / Ubuntu Overlay release criteria.
- Initiate regular recipe code reviews with the technical manager and act on review comments.
- Develop software using C, shell scripting, and Python.
- Prepare development materials such as platform bring-up guides, software reference manuals, and release notes.
About you
The company is looking for candidates with:
- BS/MS/PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in C, shell scripting, and Python.
- Solid understanding of operating systems and kernel systems.
- Knowledge of Intel, SPARC, ARM architectures, and PC/Embedded systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional, and cross-site teams.
