A leading company in architectural practice in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, is seeking a Graduate Architect. The role offers mentorship towards LAM Part III registration and involves participation in various local and regional projects. Candidates should have recognized qualifications and proficiency in design software, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Assist the Director/Project Architect in preparing architectural design proposals and construction documentation in compliance with Malaysian regulations and LAM guidelines.
Participate in all project stages including design, statutory submission, tender, and construction.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities for smooth project implementation.
Prepare submission drawings for local authorities and statutory bodies (e.g., BOMBA, JKR, DBKK).
Conduct site inspections and assist with design detailing during construction stage.
Ensure adherence to Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL), MS standards, and Green Building Index (GBI) criteria where applicable.
Prepare presentations, reports, and visual materials for client and internal design reviews.
Requirements
Recognized architectural qualification equivalent to LAM Part I or Part II.
Preferably minimum 2 years' working experience in an architectural practice.
Registered or eligible for registration as a Graduate Architect with LAM.
Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Twin motion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations, local authority submission processes, and construction practices.
Strong understanding of local building codes, UBBL, and construction processes in Malaysia.
Good design sensibility, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
