Job description

  • Recognised architectural qualification equivalent to LAM Part I or Part II.
  • Preferably minimum 2 years' working experience in an architectural practice.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Graduate Architect with LAM.
  • Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, Twin motion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian building regulations, local authority submission processes, and construction practices.
  • Strong understanding of local building codes, UBBL, and construction processes in Malaysia.
  • Good design sensibility, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Assist the Director/Project Architect in preparing architectural design proposals and construction documentation in compliance with Malaysian regulations and LAM guidelines.
  • Participate in all project stages including design, statutory submission, tender, and construction.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities for smooth project implementation.
  • Prepare submission drawings for local authorities and statutory bodies (e.g., BOMBA, JKR, DBKK).
  • Conduct site inspections and assist with design detailing during construction stage.
  • Ensure adherence to Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL), MS standards, and Green Building Index (GBI) criteria where applicable.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and visual materials for client and internal design reviews.
  • Mentorship and support toward LAM Part III registration and career development.
