Qualifications

• LAM Part II qualification required.
• 3-5 years of experience in architectural practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and knowledge of Vectorworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings across various design phases.
• Coordinate and check architectural drawings.
• Liaise with local authorities for compliance.

To prepare 2D and 3D drawings, schedules, details and documentation across Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender and Construction phases

To coordinate, develop and check architectural and other consultants’ drawings

To liaise with relevant local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and by-laws

To study options and alternatives for architectural design solutions - by hand and on AutoCAD/Vectorworks

To manage building / project contract e.g. preparing minutes of meetings, Architect’s Instructions, interim certificates, stage certifications etc

To provide general assistance in the office

Requirements

LAM Part II

Bachelor of Architectural Studies, Architecture or equivalent

3-5 years experience in an architectural practice

Committed to a career in architecture, with clear professional goals

Enthusiastic, conscientious with a strong design awareness

Reliable, helpful, able to work independently, in a team and under pressure

Good interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues

Recognises potential issues before they become a problem, communicates promptly with senior colleagues

Responsible, accountable for own actions

Effective workload management, organised and tidy, meets agreed deadlines

Aware in principle of the Architect’s responsibilities under the Architects Act and Code of Conduct

Proficiency in AutoCAD software and Sketch Up. Vectorworks and Mac OS (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) experience will be considered favourably
