Job summary

Acclime, a leading pan-Asian professional services firm, is seeking a Group Tax Manager to join its Group Finance team in Kuala Lumpur. You will drive group-wide tax strategy, ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and support tax efficiency and risk management.

In this role you will work with cross-functional teams and external advisors, oversee tax audits, consolidate tax reporting, and provide advisory guidance on complex tax filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of experience in international tax, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Solid understanding of local tax laws and regulations.
• Experience in managing tax audits and working with multinational structures.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and tax reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing group-wide tax strategies to improve tax efficiency and manage risk.
• Provide analytical support for tax implications related to business initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
• Monitor global tax developments and evaluate their potential impact on operations.
• Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across all relevant jurisdictions, including tax returns and statutory disclosures.
• Support tax audits and liaise with tax authorities to address queries and resolve issues.
• Prepare consolidated tax reporting for group financial statements and assist in month-end/year-end close.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams during closing activities and advise on tax filings and issues.
• Share guidance and training with regional finance teams on tax-related matters.
