Our Global Finance Controllership Team provides support for the business in technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis.

You will support various tax jurisdictions within the APAC Region to manage calculation, filing, payment, and reconciliation of taxes within the Global Finance Organization.

As a Global Tax Centre - Tax Analyst (APAC), your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing tax compliance documentation for the APAC region (Corporate Income tax returns, Indirect Tax returns such as VAT, GST, WHT, Stamp duty), tax account reconciliation, and supporting tax audits.
  • Documenting and communicating abnormal tax expenses to Operations and Management.
  • Coordinating information requests with internal and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax reporting deliverables.
  • Staying informed on legal taxation matters, including audits and tax updates.
  • Identifying and driving automation projects and process improvements to increase efficiency and data scalability.

Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a related finance field and have experience in an accounting environment.
  • Have at least 5 years of corporate tax and/or indirect tax experience in any tax jurisdiction.
  • Possess strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to provide expert advice and problem-solving skills.
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia to support the APAC region.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, leadership qualities, independence, and problem-solving abilities.
