Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity in Celestica’s Hardware Platform Solutions (HPS) to make a positive impact and be part of a rapid business growth in a dynamic environment. This position reports to the Senior Director of the Customer Experience (CX) organization and will be responsible for managing and growing an effective Sustaining Engineering group that supports Networking (routing, switching, security), storages, servers at hardware, firmware, and software levels.

The Sustaining Engineering group is responsible for supporting hardware and software products after development, until end of support. The role involves managing a team of Sustaining Engineers across multiple countries, investigating and resolving complex issues, engaging development teams, creating knowledge base articles, bug fixing, releases, testing, minor features, ECOs, PCNs, product transfer, TOI, NPI, and interfacing with factories and customers. Responsibilities include hardware and software sustaining of all HPS products.

• 12+ years of experience in hardware and/or software development or sustaining engineering in high-tech industry (Networking, Storages, Servers, etc.)
• 8+ years of direct people management experience of over 15 technical staff across locations
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in Networking, Storages, Servers, etc.
• Experience supporting large Enterprises, Service Providers, and Cloud Providers
• Experience with JDM customers is a plus
• Designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network hardware and topologies
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (BGP, OSPF, EVPN, etc.)
• Experience with C and scripting languages like Python/Go
• Customer interface experience and leading technical discussions
• Handling escalations and critical accounts
• Technical documentation experience
• Familiarity with product development lifecycle
• Strong leadership, accountability, and proactive attitude
• Experience in AOP planning and financial/business acumen
• Knowledge of support and sustaining engineering processes and metrics
• Experience with KB article creation tools
• Good English communication skills
• Flexible working hours and travel availability

Typical Education

• Bachelor's in CS/EE or related fields
• Master’s or MBA is a plus
