Job Description
  • 12+ years of experience in either hardware and/or software development or sustaining engineering roles in the high-tech industry, including Networking (Routing, Switching, Security), Storage, Servers, etc., in hardware/firmware/software.
  • 8+ years of direct people management experience overseeing more than 15 technical staff, located domestically and internationally.
  • Strong hands-on analytical and technical troubleshooting skills in Networking, Storage, Servers, etc., across hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Experience supporting large enterprises, service providers, and/or cloud providers.
  • Experience supporting Joint Development and Manufacturing (JDM) customers is a plus.
  • Proficiency in designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network hardware, topologies, and deployments (Data Center/Enterprise/Campus).
  • Understanding of networking concepts, architecture, topology, and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VXLAN, EVPN, IGMP, DHCP, BFD, VRF, Authentication (RADIUS/TACACS), Network Management protocols, NAT, Multicast, QoS (RoCE/DSCP), ACL, ZTP, Telemetry, Monitoring/Analytics.
  • Experience with C and scripting languages like Python or Go.
  • Customer interface experience and ability to lead technical discussions on customer calls.
  • Experience managing escalations and critical accounts.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation such as Application Notes, FAQs, Installation Guides, User Manuals, Troubleshooting Guides.
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle.
  • Strong leadership qualities, accountability, proactiveness, responsiveness, and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Experience in AOP planning with relevant financial background and business acumen.
  • Knowledge of technical support and sustaining engineering processes, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with KB article creation tools and processes.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Availability for occasional travel.
Typical Education
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related fields or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in CS/EE or related fields, MBA, or equivalent is a plus.
