Global Service Logistics Manager
Job Description

Work Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia (HYBRID)

About the Role:

The Global Service Logistics Manager at Brooks is responsible for developing and leading the global field logistics support strategy and processes. Reporting to the GM, Global Service based in the US, this role oversees global inventory analytics, management, performance metrics, and the financial aspects of field inventory.

This role involves approving global inventory adjustments, managing E&O processes, scheduling audits, and managing third-party warehousing agreements. Collaboration with Product Groups and Supply Chain is essential for managing FRU lists, lead times, and pricing.

The position requires working closely with cross-functional teams in Operations, Engineering, Sales, Field Service, and Product Management to ensure that Brooks’ needs are met. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in achieving targets related to customer satisfaction, inventory optimization, cost reduction, and forecast accuracy, functioning as an autonomous individual contributor in this global role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement inventory plans aligned with global policies to balance inventory levels and customer service.
  2. Control and authorize inventory target changes, adjusting as business conditions evolve.
  3. Ensure optimal inventory levels and process management to meet customer service requirements.
  4. Manage excess and obsolete inventory, driving reduction programs.
  5. Support inventory reporting, reconciliation, and management of KPIs.
  6. Lead projects to improve supply chain efficiency using best practices.
  7. Monitor capacity planning and backlog management to prevent delays and escalations.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Competencies:
  • 10-12 years' experience in global logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • Expertise in managing global supply chains, including inventory, transportation, and distribution.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and timely service delivery.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication across cultures and time zones.
  • Strategic and financial judgment skills.
  • Knowledge of operations management and supply chain technologies.
  • Willingness to travel internationally 25-30%.
