Job summary

Alcon is seeking an experienced Manager I, Accounting & Reporting to lead day-to-day R2R operations, ensure accurate financial data, and drive continuous improvements. You will supervise teams, streamline processes, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to enable strategic financial decisions.

The role emphasizes strong technical IFRS knowledge, global or regional experience, and a proven track record in month-end close and reporting cycles within a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
• 7–10 years of accounting/financial reporting experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role within R2R/GL.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes with timely, accurate reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Maintain strong internal controls across R2R; support internal and external audits.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, P2P, O2C and business units to enable informed decisions.
• Drive process optimization and automation across R2R using relevant tools.
