The Opportunity

An exciting permanent opportunity exists for a passionate junior HR professional to join our global People and Culture team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Reporting to the Director of People Advisory Services, you will be a part of a global people services function, playing a critical role in delivering a positive employee experience and act as the first point of contact for all P&C queries that relate to the employee lifecycle.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Resolving generalist tier one people and culture queries from employees across the APAC region
  • Actioning help cases via Workday
  • Triaging complex queries to wider P&C team
  • Interpreting policies and processes to provide advice to employees and managers
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across all parts of the Cochlear business
  • Take on challenging projects that will grant exposure to all facets of HR Practice
  • Create and maintain documents critical to the employee lifecycle
  • Supporting the deployment of new people and culture initiatives, processes, and programs in close partnership with peers
  • Always being on the look out for opportunities to work more effectively and have a greater positive impact in the business

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Existing knowledge working in a HR function supporting with administration, documentation, and HR systems management
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service
  • Ability to interpret policies, processes, and work instruction documentation
  • Proficiency in navigating and maintaining data in systems such as an HCM, CRM or case management system, ideally Workday or SuccessFactors
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of products especially Excel
  • Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail when working with data
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously but use good judgment to escalate matters and work with other stakeholders to resolve queries where appropriate
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other stakeholders in both a regional & global capacity
