A leading global organization in healthcare and security is seeking a Global Network Lead to oversee the architectural design and operational excellence of its networking services. This role demands significant experience in network solutioning, strategic architecture, and proficiency in implementing cutting-edge networking technologies, while fostering strong stakeholder communication. The purpose of this role is to ensure that Intl.SOS has the networking capability to efficiently run its business in the context of significant changes in the working location of its employees, transitions to SaaS/ Cloud models and rapid evolution of the external networking market and products. The role delivers the networking fabric upon which global shared services are delivered, it also underpins services which are procured and delivered by Business Line IT teams.
The Global Network Lead is accountability for the technical and architectural aspects of global networking service spanning LAN and WAN, excluding small branch offices where networking connections are procured locally. The Global Network Lead is accountable for the global network architecture and the operational live service running on it, which is delivered by a blend of in-house staff and third parties. Essential is the guidance of the IT organisation on the visioning on Networking, the architecture as well as Operational Excellence in the execution. He/she will take an enterprise view in architecting infrastructure to ensure fit-for-purpose, robustness and cost effectiveness. The key activities span network architecture, solution design and supplier selection through operational live management including capacity management, change, incident and problem management.
The Global Network Lead role is positioned within the Global IT Shared Service Network team of International SOS in Singapore. ITSS provides end-to-end support to our user base worldwide for all Enterprise IT services, including Wide and Local Area Networking. The network within International SOS is currently in transition, where renewal, standardisation and SDWAN introduction is on the agenda. We are looking for a person to guide, steer and take leadership in our way forward. Your attitude is can do, with open and strong communication skills to senior stakeholders. The Global Network Lead reports to the ITSS management team executive accountable for omnichannel communications and networking.

Key Responsibilities :
Overall responsibility for the company’s network vision, architecture, design and Operational Excellence.
Translate the business requirements for connectivity into a clear Network Architecture and Solution roadmap.
Envisions the future network architecture and solution for Wide and Local Area networking, including wireless.
Leads the architectural design for future networking in close cooperation with the internal team as well as our selected partner for sourcing the network.
Leads the Operational Excellence for day to day run of the network, based on pro-active monitoring, pro-active and adaptive maintenance and where required corrective actions.
Coordinates and manages the company’s engineering team and provide technical lead to train and manage network engineering resources and other third-party service provider.
Primary interface responsible for network related services carried out by the company’s service providers.
Guides and monitors the outsourcing partner on compliance with SLA’s and other commitments, and provide management reports and other qualitative data to measure the effectiveness of service provided.
Understands the legacy company’s networking design and implementation standards to assure accurate service delivery by our current outsourcing partner.
Is an active member of the Change Advisory Board for changes in the IT Landscape.
Leads incident management as well as pro-active and re-active problem management in the Network domain.
Develops in cooperation with the manager the target Operating Model. The organizational structure and ongoing workflows to deliver/maintain rigorous networking standards and practices across the engineering staff and the company.
Work closely with the assigned engineering staff to develop each team member in their assigned role.
Coordinate solutions and necessary escalations with vendors and network engineer for service delivery issues.
Actively contribute to improve and map LAN/WAN/Wireless/VoIP processes within ITIL framework.
Understand complex LAN/WAN/Wireless/VoIP integration with WAN, LAN, Wireless, VoIP customer network.
Work with Business Units, Development team, and IT Infrastructure team members to ensure overall performance meets/exceeds service level objectives.

Excellent communications and interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience producing business relevant presentations and technical oriented writing is mandatory.

Required Work Experience
At least 8 years of experience in network solutioning role in global distributed organization.
The candidate has experience in a wider regional organization and understand a matrix work culture. Experience in a global role is a strong plus
Experience as network architecture and has a clear vision on future networking in global organisations.
Has experience in guiding applications team on application behaviour on Wide Area Networks.
Excellent communication skills to guide IT management and stakeholders on the Network Transformation journey.
Understand and has experience with the translation of the Business requirements to technical architecture and solutions.
Industry Technical Certifications are required: CCNP, CCDP or CCIE and CCVP and CCNA Wireless, CWNA, CWNP or Fortinet solution, experience with Microsoft, Linux, Networking.
Excellent knowledge on Legacy LAN/WAN/Wireless/VoIP technology, (Cisco Router, Cisco Switch, Cisco Wireless, Cisco VoIP, Cisco ISE, Cisco ASA Firewall, Checkpoint Firewall, Juniper Pulse Secure, RSA, Fortinet and or Aruba/Silver Peak etc.).
Can think out of the box and has a can do attitude.
Familiar with accreditation, certification, and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, PCIDSS etc.
The right person will have gone through the ranks of an operations group supporting global organization on a 24-7-365 basis.
Proven track record in maintaining and enhancing skill(s) level(s) according to future technology trends
Proven track record in managing multiple escalations with effective follow-up/follow-through
Required Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering (or equivalent)
Required Languages
English (high proficiency in spoken & written)
Travel / Rotation Requirements
Limited travel will be required
