Job summary

Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner helping brands design, build and deliver innovative products. A Supply Chain Analyst is requested to support strategic materials, drive cost strategies and coordinate sourcing for Penang-based operations in Prai.

You will engage with customers and suppliers, develop GPSC reports, and influence pricing decisions while contributing to continuous improvement in supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management or other related area.
• Must have an understanding of cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.
• A background in electronics manufacturing and a thorough understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) product development process.
• To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills including telephones, data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Drives sourcing and pricing strategies in materials quotations.
• Interfaces with customers or suppliers in new project start-up for cost of ownership issues.
• Develops and guides implementation of flexibility and supply assurance plans.
• Manages component cost/price on local, regional and global basis.
• Tracks materials financial performance and initiates corrective actions when required.
