Job summary

Baxter seeks a Liabilities Accountant to prepare and record manual journal entries for Indirect Purchases globally. The role demands strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and collaboration with finance and non-finance teams.

The position requires experience with US GAAP, excellent communication, and willingness to travel; candidates should be resident in or able to work in Malaysia. This is a full-time, on-site role with global impact.

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant professional experience.
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPA.
Experience in multinational environment and/or audit is a plus.
Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Prepare manual journals for various expense accruals with adequate documentation.
Verify expense accruals from procurement systems like Coupa are recorded correctly.
Respond to queries from local country finance in a timely manner.
Complete account reconciliations in Blackline per deadlines.
Provide audit support as needed.
Support regional and global reporting (Balance Sheet & P&L Flux).
Assist monthly/quarterly/annual closes with Controllership teams.
Ensure processes comply with policies and audit requirements.
Support cross‑regional projects and process improvements.
May require additional hours at month‑ends or holidays.
