Swift is seeking a seasoned legal professional to support its global operations from Malaysia. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts worldwide, providing sound legal advice, and managing internal legal projects and risk assessments.

Strong knowledge of European civil law is an asset; prior in-house experience is preferred. The successful candidate will liaise with management, customers, suppliers and authorities, and participate in on-call duties as required, contributing to Swift’s

Qualifications

• Must have a university law degree and 5+ years of professional experience in a law firm or legal department.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience within an international environment; familiarity with European civil law is a strong asset.
• In-house counsel membership or equivalent experience is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Implement legal activities of low to medium complexity and provide company-wide sound legal advice.
• Draft and review contracts worldwide for customers, suppliers, development projects and networks.
• Undertake internal legal projects and participate in internal or transversal objectives.
• Analyse internal legal procedures and propose actions to maximise services and efficiency.
• Liaise with management, staff, customers, suppliers, lawyers and public administrations.
• Participate in risk assessments and help identify mitigations and controls.
• Build knowledge sharing materials and conduct training on legal and regulatory matters.
• Take part in on-call duties and handle unplanned contacts with authorities.
