Job summary

Vantage Data Centers in Labuan, Malaysia, is seeking an Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across regional entities. This role covers month-end closes, audit coordination and preparation of management accounts with strong accounting knowledge.

You will maintain balance sheet reconciliations, support system enhancements for reporting, and contribute to SOP development while collaborating with auditors and internal stakeholders in a dynamic multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or Big 4 environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: manage month-end closing for assigned entities with journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Audit Coordination: liaise with external auditors and prepare audit financial statements.
• Management Accounts Preparation: compile and present management accounts with insights for decision-making.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: perform detailed reconcilations to ensure data integrity.
• System Enhancements and Implementation: assist in documentation and implementation of reporting system improvements.
• Ad-Hoc Responsibilities: support finance team with other tasks as needed.
• Maintain policies and SOPs for accounting processes and controls.
