The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Director to join our team, overseeing a major global client-account generating close to $300 million in gross revenue. As a key leader, you will be responsible for developing and managing all departmental finance functions while driving financial excellence and strategic initiatives.

A typical day may involve:

  • Managing and mentoring a talented team across various locations, including Malaysia, China, Switzerland, and the US.
  • Executing budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes that align with departmental goals and drive business growth in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on objectives and expectations.
  • Overseeing the preparation of financial reports and analyzing procurement data to inform business decisions.
  • Establishing and implementing financial policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Identifying and mitigating financial risks while capitalizing on opportunities to improve departmental performance.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in finance, with a strong emphasis on leadership and team management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or equivalent experience is a plus).
  • Proven experience in commercial finance, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with e-procurement and financial management systems.
