Job summary

Baker Hughes in Malaysia invites new engineering graduates to join the LEAD Field Engineer Development Program, a three-and-a-half-year, structured path combining technical training, field assignments, and mentoring to prepare you for leadership roles in field engineering.

As a LEAD Field Engineer, you will work with experienced engineers on live customer operations worldwide, rotate through competency levels, and develop hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, and system troubleshooting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering within the previous 12 months.
GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
Fluent in written and spoken English with strong communication skills.
Hands-on interest in technical work and field operations.
Willing to travel extensively and work rotational schedules.

Responsibilities

Participate in structured technical bootcamps, on-the-job training, and competency development.
Execute field operations alongside experienced engineers in live environments.
Deploy, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain technical equipment and services.
Apply procedures and make decisions in dynamic, high-pressure situations.
Support customers and field crews during critical operations.
Coordinate with teams to ensure successful execution of work.
Develop problem-solving skills through hands-on troubleshooting across disciplines.
