Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Penang seeks an experienced Demand Planner to develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts for telecom products using Oracle Cloud Planning.

You will translate market needs into a reliable supply plan and collaborate closely with Sales, Product Mgmt, Operations, and Finance. Strong analytical skills, manufacturing demand planning experience, and Oracle Cloud proficiency are essential to improve forecast quality, data integrity, and cross-functional alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Operations, or related field.
• 5–8 years in demand/supply planning or S&OP.
• Experience in manufacturing, tech/telecom favored.
• Forecasting experience across multiple products or regions.
• Strong knowledge of S&OP/SIOP and planning fundamentals.
• Hands-on Oracle Cloud Planning tools experience.
• Ability to configure planning inputs and hierarchies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecasts for Transport/Transmission products in Oracle Cloud.
• Consolidate inputs from Sales, PM, CS, and regional teams.
• Analyze historical demand, orders, shipments, backlog, and stock.
• Lead monthly demand planning and contribute to S&OP cycle.
• Identify forecast risks and bridge gaps with capacity.
• Align forecasts with production plans, materials, and capacity.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and bias; request actions as needed.
• Support new product launches, transitions, and lifecycle events.
• Maintain master data, planning parameters, and hierarchies in Oracle.
• Provide management with trends, risks, and action recommendations.
• Coordinate with global factories, procurement, logistics, and sales.
• Develop dashboards/reports with Oracle BI and Power BI; use Excel for analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement in forecasting processes and data quality.
