Job summary

Sabena Engineering is expanding its Malaysia facility in Kuala Lumpur to establish an Aircraft Engine Service Center, seeking an experienced Aviation Compliance and Safety Officer to lead regulatory oversight. You will ensure CAAM Part 145, EASA, UK CAA, and FAA Part 145 compliance, coordinate with the UK Group Safety and Compliance team, and drive continuous improvements in regional safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in aviation QA under CAAM/EASA regulations.
• Knowledge of CAAM, EASA, UK CAA and FAA regulations.
• Experience managing audits, approvals and safety systems.
• Ability to lead in international/multi-regulatory environments.
• Qualifications in aviation safety, compliance or QA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Compliance and Safety Management System at the Malaysia facility.
• Perform Safety Investigations
• Perform audits to ensure full compliance with: CAAM Part 145, EASA Part 145, UK CAA Part 145, FAA Part 145
• Manage internal audit programs and prepare for external audits by regulatory authorities and customers.
• Assist in the coordination of the application and approval process for individual personal maintenance authorizations.
• Maintain accurate records of personnel qualifications, licenses, and authorizations.
• Maintain and oversee regulatory documentation, manuals, and compliance records.
• Monitor regulatory developments and coordinate updates to procedures and practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis and manage corrective/preventive actions following safety occurrences.
• Provide guidance and training to operational teams on compliance and safety matters.
• Act as the local point of contact for regulatory bodies and customers regarding compliance issues.
• Collaborate with the UK Safety & Compliance team to ensure global alignment of standards and practices.
