You will conduct high‑quality research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, mentor PhD students, coordinate courses, and participate in professional examinations

Qualifications

• MD/PhD or equivalent qualification in Medicine (General Surgery).
• Proven experience in medical education and curriculum development.
• Demonstrated teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
• Strong research background with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Registered medical practitioner with relevant professional body (e.g., MMC or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver high-quality teaching, tutorials, seminars, and bedside teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Design, prepare, and develop teaching materials aligned with the curriculum.
• Conduct clinical skills training and assessments in General Surgery.
• Prepare, review, and evaluate examination materials (SBA, SAQ, MEQ).
• Engage in curriculum improvement initiatives and quality assurance.
• Mentor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, including PhD candidates.
• Coordinate Surgery courses (Year 3) and participate in professional examinations.
• Conduct and publish high-impact research and present findings at conferences.
