Job Description:
- Reporting to the Line Manager, the General Paralegal will undergo comprehensive training and development across various facets of the legal practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answering incoming calls and taking detailed messages.
- Making outbound calls to clients and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Efficiently utilizing client management software for case management.
- Performing general office tasks such as email correspondence, document scanning, filing, and providing information to clients.
- Providing typing, audio typing, or transcription services.
- Scheduling and managing client appointments, maintaining diaries, and organizing key dates.
- Recording client interactions, visitor logs, and attendance logs.
- Compiling data and preparing reports on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Welcoming clients and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Handling reception duties including hospitality and offering refreshments.
- Supporting Partners and Senior Management with PA duties as required.
- Assisting fee earners in managing client matters, including drafting legal documents and applications.
- Conducting client meetings and taking instructions for case preparation.
- Managing correspondence and assisting with billing and administrative tasks.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Independently managing a caseload to meet individual and team targets.

Drafting a monthly Website Blog Post on a legal topic.
Conducting legal research as needed.
Trial preparation, including bundling according to Court guidelines.
Drafting legal documents such as Claim Forms, Witness Statements, and Applications.
Preparing submissions for First Tier Tribunal cases, including social welfare matters.
