Job description

NuEnergy Holdings Berhad is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and is actively involved in the solar renewable energy business.

We are seeking an experienced General Manager - Marketing & Sales with a strong background in the solar energy industry to lead our marketing and sales strategies. This role is pivotal in driving brand growth, market expansion, and revenue generation for our solar energy solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic marketing leadership and sales acumen, ensuring alignment with business objectives in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing Leadership (Solar Industry Focus)
    • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to promote solar energy products (e.g., PV systems, BIPV, solar leasing, etc.).
    • Strengthen brand positioning in the renewable energy market through PR, digital marketing, and industry events.
    • Oversee digital campaigns (SEO, SEM, social media) and content marketing to generate leads and enhance customer engagement.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and new opportunities in Malaysia’s solar sector.
  2. Sales & Business Development (Solar Solutions)
    • Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets for solar products (commercial, industrial, solar farm).
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities (e.g., government tenders, corporate PPAs, solar farm projects).
    • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with developers, EPC contractors, and financial institutions.
    • Develop pricing strategies, sales pipelines, and negotiate contracts for solar projects.
  3. Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Collaborate with technical, operations, and finance teams to ensure project feasibility and profitability.
    • Mentor and manage marketing & sales teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Monitor KPIs (sales conversion, marketing ROI, customer acquisition cost) and adjust strategies accordingly.
  4. Industry Compliance & Innovation
    • Stay updated on solar policies (NEM, FIT, tax incentives) and ensure compliance in marketing/sales strategies.
    • Drive innovation in solar product offerings based on market demand (e.g., energy storage, EV charging integration).
  5. Reporting
    • Present monthly sales forecasts, ROI analysis, and market expansion plans to management.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Marketing, Business, Engineering (Renewable Energy), or related field.
  • 10+ years in marketing & sales, with 5+ years in a leadership role in the solar/renewable energy industry.
  • Proven track record in selling solar solutions (C&I) and managing large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of Malaysia’s solar market (NEM, GSPA, SEDA regulations).
  • Strong B2B sales, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Expertise in digital marketing (SEO, LinkedIn, Google Ads).
  • Analytical mindset with experience in solar project financial modeling.
