Job summary:

The General Manager (GM) will be responsible for leading and monitoring the full management and operation of Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP), overseeing every aspect of the business and development cycle, from strategic planning, project development, sales and marketing, government relations, to financial management, etc. This role demands a visionary leader who can foster high-value collaborations, deliver multi-billion GDV projects, and establish SVTP as a market leader in technology park development.

Job responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

Lead, develop, and implement the overall business strategy and master plan aligned with SVTP’s vision and objectives.

Identify potential investment opportunities and partnerships to drive long-term value.

Prepare and present SVTP’s business updates, performance reports, and development plans.

Development and Project Management

Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle including feasibility study, master planning, design management, budgeting, regulatory compliance, procurement, and construction.

Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of development phases.

Sales, Marketing & Leasing

Monitor and guide sales and marketing activities to attract target investors and industry partners, ensuring the team achieves the company’s sales goals.

Monitor market trends and competitor landscape to position SVTP effectively.

Ensure all marketing and promotional efforts align with the brand positioning of SVTP.

Work closely with the Group CFO on financial planning, including annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial performance.

Ensure efficient cost control, revenue growth, and financial sustainability of operations.

Stakeholder and Authority Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, local authorities, utility providers, and other key stakeholders.

Represent the company in external negotiations, presentations, and joint-venture discussions if applicable.

Job requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Real Estate Development, Business Administration, or related fields.

Minimum 15 years of experience in property development or industrial park operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

Strong understanding of end-to-end development company operations.

Visionary and strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.

Proven track record in project delivery, business development, and operational excellence.

Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge of financial management including budgeting, financial reporting, and investment analysis is an advantage.

Fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing, speaking) is highly preferred for dealing with China clients.

Willing to work in Ipoh, Perak, and travel frequently for business.
