Job description

Job Purpose
To oversee the finance function in the area of:
  • Group financial reporting for external and internal stakeholders
  • Group financial planning and analysis
Job Responsibilities
Consolidation and financial reporting
  • Monthly reporting, quarterly reporting, annual financial statements of Group financials including its subsidiaries
  • Preparation of Board papers, related party transactions, non-audit fees, annual audit fees, dividend and ad-hoc financial reporting related papers
  • Regular review of non-property development Joint Venture and associate financials
  • Setting and/or updating group accounting policies on new transactions and new accounting standards
  • Ensure compliance with MFRS, group accounting policies, Companies Act (where relevant to financial reporting) via regular review of group-wide practices on a rotational basis and upon consultation
  • Addressing internal and external stakeholders' requests
Financial planning & analysis
  • Preparation of group annual operating plan, mid-year review and monthly forecasts
  • Monitor, analyse and report variances between actual performance against budget with the objective of identifying gaps for management action and decisions
  • Annual report and AGM - preparation of GCFO statement, management discussion & analysis and review of all financial-related matters
Board/Committee roles
  • Board member of non-Property Development subsidiaries and JVs
  • OC and exco member of non-Property Development subsidiaries and JVs
Corporate proposals/project/operational support
  • Provide input on financial reporting implications especially around group/consolidated financial impact
  • Review of financial assessments for non-PD Group Tender Committee and Board Tender Committee papers
Impact / Accountability
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for management to make informed decisions
  • Complying with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Improve availability and information for decision making
Education Qualification/ Professional Experience
  • Degree in Accounting / Finance or other related discipline
  • ACCA/ ICAEW/ MICPA/ CIMA/ CPA or MIA member
