GENERAL MANAGER

Wastech Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager to lead our construction projects from conception to completion. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise will ensure that our projects meet the needs of our clients and exceed their expectations.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the growth and profitability of the business
• Manage and oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including project management, resource allocation, and quality control
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and safety standards
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the company's workforce
• Analyse financial and operational data to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences, promoting the brand and enhancing its reputation

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical), or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on civil or mechanical engineering projects.
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale construction projects, including civil, mechanical, and electrical works.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• High proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex project challenges effectively and efficiently.
• Familiarity with relevant construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and maintaining focus on key deliverables.
