A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a General Manager to oversee Production Operations. The role involves strategic planning, ensuring operational efficiency, and managing complex activities while promoting safety and compliance. Candidates should possess a degree in Engineering and substantial experience in the OEM or EMS industry, with a proven track record in managing operations and staff.

Oversee the full spectrum of the company's Production Operations function;
Coordinate the internal structure of the organization to ensure an efficient work environment and that deadlines are met on time;
Propose and outline, and continuously improve existing goals and objectives with more efficient systems and policies where necessary;
Oversee all operational aspects of company strategy, help set strategic goals, and ensure the flow of operational information to the Chief Operating Officer;
Assist top management in setting goals that promote company growth;
Responsible for performing complex operational activities to ensure the right quality products are produced on time in accordance with manufacturing best practices, impacting specific functions;
Prepare budgets, schedules, and other organizational reports as required;
Promote and enforce safety and health practices in the workplace;
Manage stock and inventory, as materials play an important role in Profit & Loss;
Maintain relationships and agreements with external partners and vendors;
Ensure that the company operates legally and complies with regulations;
Manage any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management from time to time.
Job Responsibilities
Degree in Electronics and Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering;
At least 10 to 15 years of working experience in OEM or EMS industry;
Career history demonstrating expansion in scope, size of responsibility, and people management, with a mix of breadth and depth in operations roles such as managing Production, Engineering, and Program Management, and understanding Materials Supply Chain;
Preferably, good understanding of PCBA manufacturing in SMT and TLA (Top Level Test & Assembly) processes, particularly manufacturing technology needs, e.g., SMT & Test focused on Cost Control, Productivity, and Quality;
Good communication skills and experience in interacting with and building strong interfaces with customers;
Working knowledge of Profit & Loss (P&L) management and desired outcomes;
Good business sense to grow customer engagement and business size;
Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and technical knowledge, with the ability to review and discuss challenges related to quality and technical aspects of customer products, including NPI products;
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
