Barnes Aerospace has an exciting career opportunity for a General Manager to lead our Malaysia site. We are seeking an experienced P&L leader to play a key role in driving significant business growth. Fostering a high performance culture through employee engagement and empowerment, the General Manager will drive the successful implementation of value creation initiatives to deliver customer, financial and operational results. The right candidate should be an impactful and results focused business leader, with a proven track record of business accomplishments. He or she should have a proactive and hands-on leadership style, with the ability to build a high performing team.

This role is based in Johor, Malaysia and requires full-time on-site presence.

Core Responsibilities:
  • P&L leader of the site
  • Deliver year-on-year business growth
  • Accountable for site performance metrics including people, safety, quality, cost and delivery
  • Deliver customer, financial and operational results
  • Drive value creation initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of P&L experience in a manufacturing business
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience with a team of substantial size
  • Effective spoken and written communication skills
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong execution ability
  • Problem solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams
Education Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Associate degree with experience in a similar role will be considered
