General Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Liaise and coordinate with team members to complete tasks safely and on schedule.
- Inspect premises to ensure adherence to Field Safety and Quality Control guidelines.
- Maintain and repair simple machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
- Repair or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers under the supervision of a skilled electrician.
- Assemble and set up machinery or equipment with guidance from a skilled technician.
- Perform general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties.
- Keep detailed records of daily completed tasks and accomplishments.
- Assist with event setup for The Brasserie and support the Brasserie team as needed.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that basic maintenance standards comply with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to address daily needs and assist with facility and equipment inspections.
- Support the maintenance team with various tasks as needed.
- Lead the team in conducting daily safety checks on equipment, including forklifts, conveyor equipment, and selected portions of tractor-trailers and over-the-road trucks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Solid understanding of Field Safety and Quality Control protocols.
- Flexibility to be on-call as needed; ability to work overnight and respond to emergencies or severe weather events, such as storms or hurricanes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid Cayman Islands Driver’s License; a Group 4 license and experience with forklift operation are a plus.
