This position is for an Accountant to join a large organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting and finance support within the company.

Description
Prepare and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting for legal entities supported by the Shared Service Centre, in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely local GAAP reporting
Responsible for account reconciliations and initial analysis of P&L and balance sheet to identify and correct discrepancies
Coordinate external audit activities
Maintain the chart of accounts, cost center structure, and authorization matrices
Manage VAT, Intrastat, and other tax-related filings and compliance tasks
Participate in improvement and development projects
Identify and propose enhancements to accounting processes
Provide support for various ad hoc tasks as needed
A Successful Accountant Should Have
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team as well as independently
