Job summary

Kris Business Hub, based in Kuala Lumpur, seeks a Finance professional to maintain general ledger records and deliver timely financial reporting in line with Malaysian requirements. You will support group reporting, month-end and year-end close, and statutory audits while ensuring balance sheet integrity.

The role requires a strong background in GL, MFRS, and intercompany processes, with automation mindset and stakeholder liaison capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy is required.
• Progress towards ACCA/CPA/CIMA is preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in GL, financial reporting, audit or similar roles.
• Hands-on experience in full set of accounts and month-end closing.

Responsibilities

• ERP system implementation: design and configuration; support UAT and resolve issues before go-live.
• Month-end and year-end close: prepare and review journal entries; ensure timely close per calendar; review sub-ledger inputs; resolve variances; maintain documentation.
• Statutory financial reporting: prepare Malaysia statutory financial statements per MFRS; coordinate year-end audits; liaise with tax agents; respond to audit queries.
• Balance sheet integrity: perform monthly bank reconciliations; reconcile accounts; monitor clearing and intercompany balances; escalate high-risk items.
• Group reporting and consolidation: prepare group packs; ensure group policy compliance; support intercompany reconciliation; explain variances.
• Financial analysis & problem solving: analyze monthly results; explain variances; assist Finance Manager with analyses; identify risks and suggest actions.
