Job Description

The General Ledger analyst must have technical accounting expertise to ensure timely and accurate month and year end close activities including review of financial results and statutory reporting compliance. The position will report to the Finance Manager.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operation and ensure compliances to accounting GAAPs, policies, and SOX controls on all procedures.
• Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries.
• Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, close analytics, variance analysis and ad hoc reports.
• Liaise with external professional parties to fulfill local statutory obligations.
• Manage internal and external audit.
• Drive process improvement and automation to streamline end to end processes.
• Support new business initiatives and address risk and concerns
• Handle ad-hoc projects assigned by various business parties
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with 6 or more years of relevant experience in multinational companies or audit firm.
• The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English is a must
• Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people as a team member.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, as well to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Superior analytical skills and a high level of attention to details.
• Ability to work well with multiple teams and different cultures.
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with SAP/ Oracle is preferred.
• A professional certification holder (such as CPA, ACCA, etc.) is a plus.
