Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Penang seeks a Diploma-qualified QA Inspector to support outgoing QA inspection per OSI/OBA and AWS criteria. You will work with SMT and TEST processes, inspect CTO and label procedures, extract data for performance reports, and drive closure of quality defects.

The role also involves documenting integrity, supporting shift-level QA, and following safety rules while leveraging AI-assisted tools where applicable.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent
• 2-5 years in semiconductor lab or analytical lab
• Experience with Reliability, Test and FA tools/techniques
• Field of Study: Mechanical, E&E, Chemical, Material, Science

Responsibilities

• Perform Outgoing QA inspection based on OSI/OBA procedures and AWS criteria
• Familiar with SMT & TEST processes and procedures
• Familiar with CTO and product label inspections processes
• Understand and know how to extract data for performance reports
• Reporting Quality defects/issue and drive closure
• Perform verification on closure action
• Ensure document integrity, uniqueness, and compliance with internal and external procedures
• Assisting OSI/OBA engineer in DPM/LAR metric monitoring
• Responsible for providing shift-level support and assist Quality Inspectors
• Follow safety procedures and area work rules
• Support engineer/manager request as when required
• AI proficiency or AI‑enabled ways of working where applicable, for example : Cloud Assist, Code Assist and any relevant AI assistant
