Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad in Kuala Lumpur seeks an FX Trading Support Analyst to assist in client order execution, monitor market moves, and manage basic FX positions within set limits. You will work under senior traders and prepare daily logs and performance reports.

You should hold a finance-related bachelor’s degree, PKMC license, and have familiarity with FX products (Spot, Forwards, Swaps) and trading platforms such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv Eikon. Proficiency in MS Excel is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/financial engineering or related field.
PKMC license or equivalent trading certification.
Basic understanding of FX products (Spot, Forwards, Swaps) and macro indicators.

Responsibilities

Support internal and external client flows with accurate FX price execution under supervision.
Generate incremental alpha from minor trading positions within small limits.
Monitor markets and track rate movements to highlight opportunities to senior traders.
Prepare daily market commentaries and assist with client presentation materials.
Coordinate with internal departments, operations teams and external counterparties.
Ensure trade entries adhere to limits, risk guidelines, and procedures.
Stay updated on regulatory guidelines to ensure daily compliance.
Prepare daily logs, position summaries, and routine management reports.
Promote teamwork and a collaborative working environment.
Take on administrative tasks and ad-hoc duties as directed by senior traders.
