Position Overview:
Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to meet the specific needs of an organization. This role acts as a bridge between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring that the ERP system supports key business processes effectively and efficiently. The consultant works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and provide strategic guidance throughout the ERP project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their processes, challenges, and goals.

Conduct detailed business process mapping and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Translate business requirements into functional specifications for the ERP system.

2. ERP Implementation and Configuration:

Configure ERP modules to align with business needs, such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing and other related modules.

Test ERP functionalities to ensure they meet user requirements and system specifications.

Collaborate with technical consulting teams to customize and integrate the ERP system with other applications as needed.

3. Training and Support:

Develop user training materials and conduct training sessions to ensure smooth adoption of the ERP system.

Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshooting issues and resolving system-related queries.

Create documentation, including user guides, workflows, and best practices.

Monitor ERP system performance and recommend enhancements to improve functionality and efficiency.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and ERP software updates to identify opportunities for innovation.

Contribute to post-implementation reviews and apply lessons learned to future projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, Business Information Systems or a related field.

Experience:

3-5+ years of experience as an ERP Functional Consultant or in a Finance/Accounting role.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems will be an added advantage (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Workday, etc.).

Familiar with company operations, financial transactions and business operations.

Strong knowledge of ERP modules such as finance, procurement, inventory, HR, or CRM.

Familiarity with business process analysis and workflow design.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Ability to speak and read in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking vendor.

The Functional Consultant may work in an office environment, remotely, or at client sites, depending on the project's requirements. Travel may be required for on-site implementations, stakeholder meetings, or training sessions.
