Formative Minds is a dynamic, young Ed-Tech start-up dedicated to disrupting primary education. We specialize in an MOE-Aligned Primary Math tuition programme that leverages data analytics for precision teaching—a methodology scientifically proven to improve student results in Singapore.

Our tuition centres are based in Singapore (Marine Parade and Novena), but you will be integral to our regional growth strategy, working closely with the founder.

Role Description

This is a high-impact, remote sales role based in Malaysia, focused entirely on driving student enrolment by consulting and selling to Singaporean parents. This role requires exceptional articulation, a strong consultative approach, and a resilient, target-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Nurturing & Conversion (Primary Focus): Oversee and nurture new student enquiries (hot leads provided by the Marketing Team), guiding prospective parents through the enrolment journey into our Singapore centres.
  • Professional Consultation: Conduct eloquent, persuasive, and data-informed consultations with parents, clearly articulating the unique value and academic benefits of our Primary Math programmes in the context of the Singapore MOE syllabus.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both prospective and current parents, serving as a primary point of contact for service excellence and referral generation.
  • Target Achievement: Proactively work to meet and exceed demanding weekly and monthly enrolment and revenue targets.
  • Customer Service Commitment (Critical): Be prepared to commit to responding to all new leads and urgent enquiries within 5-10 minutes, including outside of regular working hours (weekdays and weekends).
  • Sales Administration: Accurately log, manage, and report all sales activities and progress using our CRM system.
  • Product Mastery: Fulfil minimum requirements of occasional teaching classes as part of a structured, ongoing training programme to ensure deep, authentic understanding of our curriculum.
Qualifications & What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a professional, hardworking, and highly articulate candidate capable of communicating effectively with discerning Singaporean parents.

  • Experience: At least 1–3 years of experience in a sales, business development, telesales, or professional customer-facing/consulting role.
  • Communication Excellence (Mandatory): Able to converse fluently and clearly in English and/or Mandarin with minimal heavy accent. You must be confident, eloquent, and capable of holding sophisticated conversations.
  • Educational Interest: Must have a keen interest in the Ed-Tech space, with a willingness to learn about managing education centres and supporting academic teams.
  • Drive & Work Ethic: A positive, resilient, and energetic self-starter with an outstanding work ethic and high adaptability. You must be driven by achievement and highly motivated by commission.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficient in using CRM systems and comfortable with digital communication tools.
Perks & Compensation (Your Earnings Potential)

We offer a competitive package structured for high performers:

  • High OTE (On-Target Earnings): S2,000 to S4,000 per month. This translates to a total earning potential of RM 6,500 – RM 13,000 per month (based on performance and current exchange rates), significantly above the Malaysian market average.
